We love collabs between two artists on the same wavelength. There are fashion designers and there are artists who happen to design clothing. The latter is the better description for both Brian Lichtenberg and Grey Ant's Grant Krajecki. Both of their collections are artistically driven, retro charged exhibits.

Brian Lichtenberg looks like the ultimate Silverlake hipster, with a shock of orange locks and a taste for one-of-a-kind vintage. Anyone that's rummaged through second hand racks can see that Lichtenberg is a kindred treasure hunter, with thrift store inspired patterns and cuts from the '70s, '80s and '90s making it to his runway collection. You'll be glad to know that both of our Brian Lichtenberg Grey Ant pieces are now part of the Summer Sale!

The Mary Jane Blouse is 100% Flashdance and the pattern shows Lichtenberg's recent fascination with transformation and changes of state, primarily solid to liquid articulated by things melting and oozing. But using adorable kitties, he turns an "eww" into an "aww." ( $176 $124 )

Who wears super short shorts? This is why they invented Nair. If you like the minimalist approach to shorts the Stonewashed Shorts are just a centimeter away from becoming an intimates piece. The retro stripes and trim keep it fun and light though. Not recommended for crowded Tokyo subways. ( $165 $116 )
