In the September issue of The Block, designer Carla Knapp (New York via Manitoba) describes her Mischen line: "Fall was really about inheriting your Parisian grandma's closet. Our colour palette was very French and fanciful." Mischen is German for "to mix," and the vibe for fall stirs vintage and modern. Mischen's retro polish infuses classic cues from from the '20s through the '50s into contemporary silhouettes. Before starting Mischen, Knapp designed for Liz Claiborne and Jill Stuart before becoming creative director at Paper Denim and Cloth.
